Smokin' Chicken was formed in 2002 in Kinston, NC... by band members Tommy Stalls, Mack Avent and Neal Moore.
There was always "Chicken Smoking"..... hence the name "Smokin' Chicken" ! Some think the name is stupid-- Fitting, is more like it!
"You are drinking alcohol.... and We are Smokin' Chicken"!!!

Smokin' Chicken plays Greenville, Surf City, Topsail Beach, Sneads Ferry, and Hampstead, North Carolina area. In July,2005, Smokin' Chicken played the Annual Chuck and Kenny's BBQ Bash in Hampstead, NC. This July, they played the annual "July 4th Party in Hampstead and Ms Betty's Bash!
This is the original Smokin' Chicken! Starting out as just a three man band in 2002... Smokin' Chicken consisted of band members Neal Moore, Tommy Stalls and Mack Avent.... Later, in 2005... it was decided "to go all electric" -- Along came David Avent and Dale Hertel!
Smokin' Chicken will play almost anywhere!!! Some of the places Smokin' Chicken has played are: High Five Sports Bar and Grill (Hampstead, NC), Business Grand openings, Annual BBQ Bash in Hampstead, NC., Various private parties, Player's Choice in Greenville, NC., Rix in Surf City, NC, Cherries in South Topsail Beach, NC, Brass Pelican in Surf City, NC, Sonny's Sports Bar in Holly Ridge, and Marker 90 Seafood Market in Sneads Ferry, NC.
